Instructions:
Soak the basmati rice in water for at least 30 minutes.
In a large pot, heat the oil and add the cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Fry them until fragrant.
Add the chopped onions and fry until they turn golden brown.
Add the ginger-garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, and green chilies to the pot. Fry for a few minutes until the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
Add the meat to the pot and fry until it turns brown on all sides.

Add the crushed cardamom on top of the meat, cover the pot with a lid, and let it cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes until the rice is fully cooked and fluffy.
